@ Alex; I'm sure that Artex will become a desirable architectural/decorative feature in its own time, and future housebuyers will curse our generation for ripping out all those beautifully artexed ceilings! Perhaps (with apologies to MdB!) you should consider putting a false ceiling of hardboard under the artex, if it's not to your taste, to preserve it for future, more appreciative generations? I daresay the spiders would like it too
@ FW and LadyA; yes to the '80's bathroom, no to avocado, but we have a bidet - c'mon, do I get points for a bidet? :wink:
If some future archaeologist wants to carefully remove the plaster from our back bedroom, they will find are perfect example of why artex should be plastered over...
