Yes it was - we knew that work was going to be required when we bought it, but then end up confused when you have so many conflicting opinions offered forth. It's ugly on the outside - very nice fireplace on the inside.

Does this chimney stack know that it is being called ugly! Does it know of all these people talking about it? Have a thought for the feelings of this chimney! Hey chimneys are sensitive things, maybe thats why it won't work for you, its reacting to your hostility towards it!.......or am I just getting carried away here???
