We have one carefully preserved guest bedroom with woodchip, although it's been painted over so many times it's not really so discernable any more.
It was put up by Lord ***** of ********* (long before his elevation) so we are preserving it for posterity (actually it's too much like hard work to try to remove it and every time I think about it something more important comes up).
The Great and Good of the conservation movement have slept there I add, although they are pre-warned in order to compose features accordingly so not to be caught unawares at this possible lapse of our otherwise exquisite good taste.
I do have a number of decent pictures to hang to cover it, but so far they are propped against the wall along with nails and a hammer. I keep inviting people to do it for me if they feel so inclined, but so far no takers.
Possibly they are concerned that the walls may collapse if thumped to put the picture nails in.
They should be more concerned about falling through the wormy floor, one of the bed legs has already sunk a couple of inches in, but that's covered with carpet.
