They often have pamments for sale at Gaze's auctions in Diss, usually at the Architectural sales, but sometimes at ordinary sales. They are pretty close to your new place.

Otherwise there are plenty of reclamation yards around the area.

thanks for the heads up on gazes. ive seen the norfolk pamments web site but they say their pamments are ceramic. i have always associated ceramic tiles with the glossy, sealed bathroom type tiles. perhaps reclaimed tiles will provide a more authentic looking floor?

coolio , thanks Gareth. ive got some glossy type tiles here in my bathroom and in comparison to the older rough ,clay type tiles in the kitchen they look like they belong in a barrett house rather than an old cottage.
