Sash Windows Weight - Help Needed

Came across these weights with a 25mm diameter during my research into repair materials.

have you thought of using sash spiral balances?
I have put these in on a window where there isnt room for weights, they are cheap and dont look out of place.

I beg to differ about them looking out of place.

Pulley, cord and weight is a simple, easy to maintain system that's worked for centuries, so why alter an original window to fit a spiral balance?

Modern cord should last a long time too.

Keep it simple!
