Render - Lime Putty or NHL3.5 mix?

Lavenham, a couple of years ago. I'm assuming that this was done with limewash.

Will be interesting to see how it looks now - I wonder if it's been redone since?

May get a chance to have a look this weekend.

I can imagine how it would look as a solid block of colour, all sealed up in a coat of placcy paint.

Aaargh!

I see that they almost managed to get all the cars out of the way for that photo - all of mine have a carpark in the foreground, ruining the effect somewhat.

Quite a difference. Reminds me of the black and white timbered buildings of Cheshire, near where I used to live.

I'm not sure I'll do it that colour...it's a little strong for a house stood on it's own although it looks fantastic on that house surrounded by other period buildings. I was thinking of a more subtle off-white, creamy type of colour. I need to pick a colour that'll look good with the Ancaster quoins and doorway. It's something I've been mulling over for some time now. I guess once it's re-rendered next year I might have a better idea of what to do...it just looks a mess at the moment and it's hard to imagine it in *any* colour!!

If you have Photoshop or something similar on your computer you could while away the winter days by trying out colour-schemes on a photo of your house.

Nem, there's nothing left in this village that's of any resemblance to the past. All the nice old properties have been 'modernised' and the new ones....well, they're gross!!! There are some old-ish houses but ony brick ones. There's nothing at all like ours
