I have to say, Evelyn, that I sometimes find reading your posts rather like having a conversation with the present Mrs Penrose.

You know where it's started from... but you never know where it'll end!

If I make such comments to her, Mrs P. just looks at me in a slightly superior way and mutters: "my interests are wide ranging". No doubt you'll respond in a similar vein?

Actually, I never know where they'll end, either - it's part of life's rich tapestry etc? Or are we boldly going...

I find it rather appropriate that the second half of your quote is: "...where no MAN has gone before."!!
