I was just thinking how easy it would be to cut approximate discs from copper or brass sheet. Bash 'em flat. Drill a hole and end up with... '(Fairly) Instant Washers With Nice Homemade Touch'. 8)

I use the following Stainless Steel A2 Penny Washers, M6 x25 x1.5
The last lot cost me around £22 for 400, including delivery.

With these Turbo Ultra A2 Stainless Steel screws: 3.5 x 40

The screws have very sharp points, and despite the incorrect picture on the website, the thread extends all the way up to the screw head. With care, you can get an excellent fixing into the laths alone with these screws.

I've used a few suppliers, and the first was way too expensive.

Fastfix will do 200 washers for £14.72

AHC do the same for £7.76

Both charged me £5.95 for standard delivery.

I struggled to find the washers at a decent price myself.
