It's not so much the ear tagging itself that's the problem - it's the engraving of each bee's name on its tag.

It's not so bad for a short name like Sting, or P J Probee. But imagine the work involved in Beetrice Allenbee.

Gosh, I hadn't even really thought about that. That, combined with all the work of making the chickens' curtains, beds, etc, may prove too much.

But Messieurs, zut alors, do not insult Mme Croquembouche! She is still only 21 (in hen years). The water is to counter-balance the effect of too much creme de cassis.
