Ah four quotes is probably enough to get a feel for the going rate. Tend to agree on nobody getting rich at tree felling again we had three guys for most of the day. Access was less of an issue as the tree was at the bottom of the garden and I managed to get a firemans key for access to the gated community at the back.

Thanks! Yes, tons of firewood, we now have a 31 yr supply instead of a 30 yr supply!

Unless you live in a property it's impossible to understand how much a tree can drag a person down. The enemy tree is a daily blight, stealing the sunshine, an ugly blot, sucking up all the moisture so you spend hours and hours watering, stopping the planting plan from taking place. With the holm oak and the 80ft silver birch gone the back garden is suddenly awash with light, moist earth and possibility. 8) The cottage is now visible from the track which I also wanted.

Trees have to be in the right place and few people think the right place is up against a house. I am talking of the forest tree - the oak, sycamore, lime, ash, birch. The masses of smaller trees available can enhance the house beautifully; amelanchier, cornus controversa variegata, sorbus domestica.
