Period Rain!

Got home last night, chopped some fire wood and lit the woodburner. I feel so ashamed. It's June 12!. Personally I would have just togged up but in the interest of household harmony it seemed a sensible move. I just hope nothing was nesting in the chimney.

I can't risk lighting mine, as I've been told that birds have moved into my chimney. It seems a bit unfair to stick a brush up there to make sure!

That's not the product of a tanning shop though. It's Ronseal Golden Mahogany unless I'm very much mistaken.

I'd like to reassure all my PPUK friends unable to use their hoses in other parts of the country because it is raining so hard, that today was another warm and sunny day in North Wales. ;-)

Love that Robin, especially the rich sounds of the OE. It must be late, it's practically modern English!

I must confess I've given up on exterior windows for a bit and am starting another needlepoint, I'm really stuck for indoor jobs as I'm banned from starting another room until our existing project is finished, and the Campaign Room is waiting on Chris.

Anglian Water, Southern Water and Thames Water have confirmed that they are to remove the restrictions from midnight on Wednesday.

I wonder if they'd prosecute if I jet washed the car now?

Yes it is lovely to read out loud. It is middle English apparently - but clearly understandable.

I have a drawbridge. That's what that piece of 2x4 was for.
It's all gone now. I'm on very fast draining sandy ground.
Henry however, flatly refused to go out in that rain, and wouldn't help me clear up the tools I'd left outside. He just sat indoors looking as pleased with himself as ever. For which I am now going to make him clean my bedroom.

Of course it will be ten years from now before the whisky that is not being produced doesn't hit the shops!
