I had a 50cc Mobylette moped was I was 18. It was OK on the flat - I sometimes got up to a dizzying 30 mph - but on any uphill stretches I had to pedal to help the engine along.

We're now the custodians of an early 1700's timber framed and weatherboarded cottage in Bromley with all the usual cement render, bitumen coatings, leaky roof, chipboard replacing lath and plaster issues familiar to most! But at least with the recent rain the well is full again...

Very impressive. That wall is, I think, on one of the School Board (of London) Schools which were mostly built in the 1880s, as a result of the Education Acts.
The infill, in different London yellow stock bricks, is the result of the railings being taken for scrap metal in WW2.

I got a 650cc Triumph in 1978 That i seemed to spend most weekends taking apart.
i've still got it, under stuff in the shed.

Hello!

Just back from a ride on my Husqvarna TE610e, glad I made it back before the rain really set in! Also have a Moto Guzzi California and a Norton Commando 961 in the garage. Also keep on meaning to collect a 1956 BSA 250 (not sure of the exact model) from my Uncle which he never finished restoring. Have had a few other interesting bikes, a RD350LC YPVS being one of the favourites, wish I hadn't sold it but there you go.

Anyhow, will post up a proper hello on a new topic shortly!

Regretably I gave up motorcycles when I got my first serious girlfriend. Before then it was motorbike in the summer and car in the winter. Nothing fancy or big (motorbike I mean!) just a Yamaha FS1-E, Suzuki TS and GP 125, and a Yamaha RD250. Whilst I passed the extensive and testing RAC/ACU training scheme at the time, I didn't bother taking my test. There are no end of bikes I would like these days but in the 60's/70's it was always the Norton Commando.
