Lime said:The problem so many Land Rovers have is that they get bought and driven by people who fancy themselves as off-roaders but know next to nothing about caring for the vehicle.
Hence the failures and breakdowns where they get stuck in the middle of nowhere.
So many wrecked by prats who spend their weekends ploughing through muddy holes at Playday sites, then don't do the necessary maintenance. When I bought the Lightweight, the brakes were corroded, the axles and hubs were full of water, the chassis was full of mud, the engine breather system had been turned into a closed loop. CO was 15%, it ran like a pig. How to ruin a good vehicle.
That was four years and 11,000 miles ago.
