period eggs!

had my car 'egged' last night , just one egg thrown from a distance , what kind of person goes to their fridge in the middle of the night , gets a chickens egg , goes out onto the road in the dark then throws it at a parked car? :roll:
most probably kids i expect , i best stock up on some eggs for some Halloween trick or treat fun then...

my first thought was a bird laid an egg in mid flight but chickens dont fly do they?

Many pure breed chickens can fly, a bit, but most can't be bothered unless there's a fox. They'd never, ever lay an egg whilst flying anyhow, as it takes about ten minutes of sitting and concentration in a private, dark place.

:lol: I'm sure Rob couldn't annoy me, and even if he had, we have no eggs here. All 15 are in late summer moult and have gone on strike.

Poor Rob, it happened to me too once, ruined a pair of boots!

Far be it from me to sing the praises of mere poultry, but the blue Cotswold Legbar eggs that Mrs P and I buy (when we can find them) are the best ever.

I'm going to frame that, Mr P, and hang it in their house. And send you a box of blue eggs when they get laying. There is nothing like the creamy sweetness of a freshly laid blue egg, though apparently the chocolate egg laid by the Maran is very good too - and if you cross a Maran with a Legbar you'll get a hen who lays olive coloured eggs! How fab is that!

Our "ladies"dont do poetry,have "itchy scratchy" feathers,hold noisy union meetings over egg production,demanding more corn and holidays,lay brownish eggs and dig up neibours gardens!(have to calm the neibours down with gifts of eggs!) just got no class these ex batts!

well no more eggs on the car which is good but ms robgil managed to drive it 20 miles with the starter engaged (the return spring on the key wont bring the key back to on from start) , this then burned out the starter which i have been replacing this evening , in the rain.
so guys , a chickens egg on your car may well be a bad omen.
