Period curtain design help needed

Oh, that sounds perfect. Chris and I have fantasies of somewhere really isolated and beautiful, our location is a compromise as he has to get to London every day, but I'd love to live a long way from anywhere.

Bit late with this but having spent intensive hours trawling eBay daily for for 4 long, interlined, black toile de jouy or crewel / tapestry curtains (at a price I can afford) I had to say i love your 'new' curtains and am filled with curtain envy. I can't imagine that sort of bargain turning up locally. Any ideas for other places to search gratefully received.

Thanks Lou, I'll look out for you. As well as EBay you could try preloved.co.uk? But with such a specific design and size required, as well as being interlined, I can't imagine you'll find them, sorry. Hope I'm wrong but second hand interlined curtains aren't very common, perhaps owing to the expense and time consuming nature of interlining, plus the fact they can never be washed or dry cleaned. Your cheapest option would be to unpick some ready mades ( Dunelm or Laura Ashley in the sale?) and interline them yourself. It isn't very difficult, I could send you a copy of the method if you want to go down this route, and advise which interlining you'd need to buy. Just curtains without swags and tails is half the cost/time/materials. Good luck!
