Nice too. Do they do it in a Limewash?

Perhaps for the garden side, I choose a beige roughcast. Then, paint it with Limewash with progressively more concentrated tan pigments to give nice variation in tone to the finish.

Does anyone know of a supplier with good range of coloured likenesses?

I like Bone. I'd love to see pics of the interior in Matchstick.

At the end of the day it's an amazingly pretty house and if you choose nice period colours and not horrid bright trade whites it will be stunning.

Rose of Jericho make very antique looking paint and give proper advice over the phone about which kind to use over different substrates. I mention FnB a lot, and do use them a lot, but for the exterior I'll be using Rof J and Little Greene, even though I know FnB make the historic limewashes and distempers in their range of colours ( or many of them anyway). This is because FnB have really narked me off with their far too modern approach of late. However if you do use Rose of J bear in mind that different batches of the same colour really do come out differently and their tester cards aren'
t quite the same as the tester pots.

Great advice , thank you! I'll be ordering up the tester pots to play with.

If you want a cheap option, you can make your own limewash, and add a small amount of pigment to colour it.
I bought tester pots of pigments for limewash from Ty Mawr, and did lots of experimenting, mixing different proportions of different ones together, before deciding on using their "Clean Yellow" for my interior. A single purchase of 1 litre of pigment would probably make enough for the whole house. You make the limewash by mixing lime putty and water, I forget the ratio but it can be found out, I'm sure. I've got some different pots left over that I don't want, if you pm me your address I'll send them to you. Sort of yellowy browny ones.

So, the new windows have a huge impact on the house. To my eye, they now favour a white roughcast render?!!

Still like the unpainted render personally. The windows and woodwork colour are excellent.
