Old slightly leaking roof, no felt

Ok as per the title, due to the layout of our house we have a small 1.5m wide section of roof that has a conatabt leak, had numerous erous people out and all fixed it (not), anyway went up last time it was heavy raining and it looks like the wind is sort of blowing the tiles (only a few) up and pushing rain it. It only leaks when wind blows one way.

So been quoted £1k ish to remove all tiles and replace and add felt etc, from a kind roofer who replaced my leaking flat roof with another leaking flat roof and cost of 2k. He is saying this leaking is getting under the flat roof . Or i could get a bag on lime, chuck some sand in and try to touch it (looks like it had that before but feel off, mostly).
So my question is, would it be worth touching it and seeing what happens, anything detrimental to doing it if you need to take the roof off anyway?

Basically a right yorkshire man who is spending loads at the minute and wants to hope to atleast temp fix the leak with a view to perm fix when the other house projects are finished.

If the rain from the pitched roof is getting under the flat roof then it is likely that he only did half a job on the flat roof and didn’t do the interface between pitched and flat properly which should have involved taking off the bottom few rows of tiles so the felt / membrane could run up behind them and behind any existing felt.

Can’t think of anything detrimental from what you’re suggesting but not sure it will help much?

Its a weird one tbh. The flat roof is about a foot lower than all the pitched roof running onto it. It would have been daft money to basically redesign that side of the house. The roofer has but leas flashing all the way up under the pitched roof so the only was its getting in has got to be internally down the wall and through into the flat roof. Not entirely sure how, but you can see water ingress when its driving raining towards the roof

torching was designed to keep the tiles in place as it was roofed & catch any drips getting under the slates, don't see how you can retro fit it without taking of the slates, there is a chance that you may disturb the loose slates and create more problems than it solves, sorry but think you need a roofer who knows what he is doing as you current one only seems to do half a job if the water is getting in under the new flat roof, also just getting a bag of hydrated lime and throwing some sand in will do absolutely nothing as its not lime mortar & will not set unless you add cement to make it set which will defeat the purpose of what you are trying to achieve, it N.H.L. not hydrated
