Old Buildings you'd like to have seen

The 1901 census online has an advanced search option that allows you to search for a surname and occupation. There was only one Richardson, miller in Suffolk. This search gives a parish in the result. Then search for Richardson, and the parish, to find others in the same family. If you're not as tight as I am, it is possible to look at the original census image or do a full address search to find out who else was staying there on the night in question.
I would feel more proud of my detective skills if I hadn't spent fifteen minutes searching in vain for a man named Edward Stone.

On the subject of buildings I'd like to have seen, the original Globe Theatre, or the slightly earlier 'the Theatre' would top the list. I know that there is an impressive replica in London, but nothing could beat standing with the original groundlings, watching Shakespeare play the ghost in Hamlet. Sadly, this theatre burnt down when a cannon was fired on stage and a spark landed in the thatch.

There's a "your favourite old building" thread currently on the forum, so I wondered, which, of the many old buildings that are no longer with us, would you most like to visit if you had the chance to climb into a time machine?

If I may take the liberty I would like to extend the wish beyond our shores.

When this thread first appeared, that was the first place I thought of. And since we have now got back to the ancient world, what about the newly-built Parthenon - a thousand years before it got accidentally blown up - and complete with the brightly-painted "Elgin" marbles and the gold and ivory statue of Athene inside?

Best wishes to all. I'm in a certain overseas city at the moment (crow - crow) that once had two rather large buildings which are now greatly missed. I do rather wish I had been able to see them.
I must say that this is my first visit here and I am muchly ( and surprisingly, for some strange reason ) impressed with the architecture, especially some of the older ones which are beautifully decorated. Some are a real knockout!

The Chrysler building is, in my view, the best of them.

Considering its age, the "parachute only" method of entry seems surprising.
