I quite agree. It looks very competent. In fact, I don't think I would have taken so much trouble to ensure perfectly square posts - I don't regard their squareness as that critical, but I'm just bone idle.Schoolmarm said:I don't think anyone will be wincing as they look at it.
As for sharpening chisels, the kit that Ian has recommended will help you to keep an accurate angle. The only tip I would add is the ensure that you always finish honing the bevel on a very fine stone, then unclip it from the guide and give it a gentle rub on the flat side. Be sure to keep it absolutely flat on the stone - you're only wiping off the fine wire that your bevel-side honing will have turned over.
