My Beach Hut roof

I know corrugated sheet material is supposed to be a traditional roofing, but I've never been keen on it , technically or aesthetically. But that's the most attractive use of it that I've ever seen. The roofs look great.

As for the multicoloured onion: hmmmm...

The original (I think) roof covering was felt that was shaped to resemble overlapping tiles.

I'm pretty sure Wickes sell a version of those - felt shingles. If you look at websites selling timber log cabins for gardens, they are often finished in felt shingles.

Frank. I like the look of your suggestion, ‘SLE Cladding’ particularly the PLASTISOL. Profiled Plastic Coated Steel Roofing & Cladding Sheets. Any idea of the price per M sq. No prices given on their website.

I also notice that wicks have a product called Bitumen corrugated sheet (2m x 950mm) @ £9.29 per sheet. Does anybody know if this is any good?

That's basically the same stuff as Onduline, mentioned earlier. Great stuff for a garden shed, never rots, tends to fade and go grey in the sun. For a beach hut I would be concerned about damage - both from the wind (it's quite flexible across the corrugations, you'd need to make sure it was very well fixed down at the edges) and from chavs - you could easily boot a hole in it or even tear it if you tried hard enough.
