The truth of the matter is rogbil, that we never undertood the middle ground and settle between shifting a 2 ton bolder for a doorway to get out of our caves and a system that could make it shift with a remote control from the dark side of the moon.

We are the most natural things on the planet because that is what nature and evolution intended, an animal specie( OUR DEFINITION) which has evolved in such a way to believe that we can control ,improuve and manipulate our existence . We should believe it because we are evolved/programmed in this way. Who knows what's around the decades corner, after all nobody has predicted it correctly in the past.

The most jaw-droppingly fundamental moment of my life reading that chapter of the book - when I realised that my whole body had developed as a mechanism to increase the likelihood that a small organic molecule with self-replicating properties could, well, self-replicate. We're here to our DNA can replicate and not vice-versa.

Also a very uplifiting moment - unencumbered by notions of afterlife or inherited guilt I can get on with enjoying my three score and ten and making it meaningful to those I travel it with! 8)

Certainly a digression too far for PPUK and apologies to anyone of a faith persuasion who holds other views...
