Ebay bargain of the week - I got the sash window for the princely sum of a penny! It's a fair way from me, but happens to be about a mile from a friend's house who I'm going to see in a couple of weeks anyway. It will need adapting but for a penny it's well worth it, I reckon a new box sash would be around £500 - £800.

Matthew has kindly sent me his lime DVD. All I need now is a stone cill, as the original was ripped out by a previous owner . That I suspect I will have to get made new, we have a good local sandstone quarry but it will be an expensive item. I'll see what the salvage yards have got first though......

I'm very impressed, Graham! If it was in my shed, it might as well be somewhere in the Indonesian jungle, for all the likelihood of my finding it.

I thought if I started looking now I might find it for Xmas, besides my shed has only been up a couple of months...............
