It's not the only one you know. There's another "Secret Nuclear Bunker" near Nantwich in Cheshire, complete with signposts. Common as muck, these secret bunkers y'know. They even have their own secret websites.

I've completed it although I haven't done any major works on my listed building. By the way, speaking as a university lecturer, there are leading questions in this survey - always best to keep them open, you get better data that way...

No, it's actually "Oh Bottoms! My dissertation's due to be handed in next month and I've not started it yet" season :wink:
And May 1993 (and May 1995) were so sunny in a break from the usual annual (ie 12 month long) Plymouth Rain Festival, and the surf was up. Oh, happy days...

You are undoubtedly right.

I remember when I wrote my dissertation (I was a "mature student" for an MA, so it wasn't long ago). The very stern warning from my tutor - a wise theologian at a Cambridge college - was "Don't go near anything with statistics in it. There are more pitfalls than you can imagine, and your work will be reviewed by serious experts who will spot your errors. The risk of failing is high."

I followed his advice, and didn't do any "surveys" or any statistical analysis. I wrote it based on my own observations ("life experience" they called it).

I've since filled in dozens of questionnaires on Surveymonkey, covering a very wide range of topics. Most were "skewed" so any statistical analysis would be hairy; most had grammatical howlers in them that made the questions hard to define; most seemed to know the answer they wanted before they started. Some left me wondering what on earth the questionnaire was about.

And some were well written, well-defined, and looked useful.

My MSc. dissertation was left and left and left and eventually written in two weeks of 18 hour days. I missed the binders' deadline but persuaded him to sell me the raw materials, and bound it myself on the lounge floor.

It got a very good mark but was returned with the comment that it was "not of archival quality" for the library and would I please have it bound properly! :roll:
