Er, isn't the problem with our darling PM that he's been the exact opposite of Mr Scrooge?

The blossom is blighted, the leaf is withered, the god of day goes down upon the dreary scene, and, in short, you are for ever floored.

But enough of such things. I really just wanted to post my Merry Christmas greetings to one and all and to thank everyone for their help, encouragement, banter and general good humour throughout the year. May we all experience many more happy years poking around in, and hopefully prolonging the life of, period properties everywhere. Cheers! (hic).

We travelled by miniature tram today to visit Farther Christmas (and a rather impressively merry elf. We wonder if she managed to keep it up all day). Mince pies and mulled wine before return by another tram driven by a reindeer (no red nose so it couldn't have been Rudolf).
