This is very interesting. Our house would have been filled with jacobean wood panels and they have all been lost. This might be suitable in a couple of rooms

I visited a neighbour yesterday and he was most impressed when I pointed out his Lincrusta wall coverings below the chair rail in his old school teachers house to him. 
Please keep on contributing Mr Lincrusta as I for one find the subject fascinating and can't wait to hear more about this wonderful material.

Thanks for all the posts and pictures.
The side veiw picture of the Cameiod / lignomur is exactley what i would expect from the Papers. it almost looks like cardboard but it is not!
As for what do you do, we have had one of our Lincrusta Conservators, remove a 3/4 of a ceiling of Cameiod, number each piece as it is removed and then the ceiling plaster repaired, then the Cameiod replaced in exactly the same way as it was removed just like a Jigsaw, that is one option for repairing the plaster work. Again this needs to be completed by an expert, if some does damage beyond repair then yo can copy the design and replace with Jesmonite this is another story for later posts.
Here is a picture photo from the Cordelove Cameiod book, I am still looking for your design, but need to look at a few books at the Lincrusta factory.
If any of the period property people would like a tour around the Lincrusta factory In Morecambe this can be arranged.

You can find all sorts of Historical Lincrusta pictures and Marketing paperwork from early 1900's on E Bay Beleive it or not!!!!!DJH said:
