I should be careful with that assumption. The problem with white is that it isn't. There are thousands of different whites, and you'll probably never notice the difference between them - until you touch up one with another! If your house has been painted or limewashed white for a couple of years and you then try to touch it up with exactly the same material, you'll probably still see a colour variation, due to weathering of the exposed finish.
I'm not arguing against painting the house white - just trying to make sure you're aware of all aspects of your plan.
And as FW says, you'll probably need to re-apply the limewash every three of four years anyway.
