If it's random stone they shouldn't be using grinders at all. and if it's ashlar, grinders are almost worse because any cut will show.
Yes, it gives one a sinking feeling when one begins to suspect that one has employed plonkers.
Especially if the detail of what and how was not tied down in writing and, after all, do we ever insist on putting these things in writing?
Not in my case, we just believe/hope that it will be all right, perhaps insulated by the thought that if they turn out to be hopeless then I can do it myself.
Question increasingly is, do I want to?
