I think on the whole they're never asked and so they never learn but when they are asked they try to fob you off with It's too much trouble... No one uses that any more... What you want is (the only thing I know, dry line & skim)... etc. etc. and we end up with the situation we have now where the only people using lime are the people who have a passion for the craft and care about what they do being employed by those who care for their built heritage and the sad fact is they're few and far between
