Closest point of the Stour is Sudbury, about 6 miles away. But I confess I've never heard it called the Stoor, even when I lived in Dedham.Me said:I'm guessing that Penners probably lives quite near the River Stour, and that he calls it the Stower. But if you go a few miles downstream, they all call it the Stoor.
