A long time ago now but... When we put up our first dish the installer refused to do it until we had permission from the local planning authority. They had no problem as long as it stayed within our curtilage and it was the only dish on our property. Since then none of our neighbours has had this problem as we set a precedent.

And what is the problem with the word "curtilage". The spill chucker keeps changing it to cartilage.

So did you make a full LBC application?

No, they sent us a formal letter giving permission which we showed to the installers. I didn't know then but I do now that not all requests for PP go to the Planning Committee but are decided by Planning Officers.

No, we rang and asked if we needed to put in a formal application and they agreed to send us a letter.
