To update this post I'm happy to report Imperial Bathrooms have now supplied the tiles and a spare lever. A bit odd insofar as still no reply to our original complaint or a cover letter with the items but at least they have now attempted to rectify the situation for which we are grateful.
As for "padding out the post" - I didn't get into the nitty-gritty of the matter in my OP precisely to avoid that critisism! Our main arguement never was WRT the actual problems. As I said - problems do occur from time to time. What disappointed us was the COMPLETE lack of ANY response to our complaint for a month.
That's interesting chuckey - your description sounds very much like our problem. Astounding that a better design solution wasn't developed with the product. I'm afraid we don't have access to anything like a lathe but I'm sure we can sort something out.
