I have a cunning plan: immediately after they announced a hosepipe ban we had the wettest April on record. So if someone would just announce a ban on suncream then North Wales will bask in sunshine. I've just dropped a line to the Daily Mail alleging that all suncream sold in the UK is made by Hugh Grant employing single parent immigrants while illegally claiming benefits. After that uproar, Cameron will cave in in no time.

It was 17 degrees and sunny as I drove home across N Wales last night, listening to all the flood warnings across the rest of the UK. It was 11 degrees and dry and clear(ish) as I danced the sun up at 5am this morning at Talacre. It's been dry all day. It's almost a proper dry drought again. except that all the rivers have burst their banks and each valley floor is 2 foot deep in water.

N Wales is one of the loveliest parts of the country, and I would recommend visiting! 8)
