Ditto to all that, plus I've found that a light tapping with a hammer can often help to unseize seized things. I assume it helps break up any rust and corrosion and helps the WD40 to penetrate - much like Penners' tighten-first trick I suspect.Penners said:Just for future reference, if you have occasion to try and undo stuck nuts or bolts, give them a thorough soaking with good old WD40.
