Taking the building as a whole, it appears to be the penultimate building on the west side of Whitchurch Road going south before its junction with Mill Street. The main block seems to have two parallel roof ridges giving the building greater depth than its black & white-painted neighbour.
The size of the building and its position near slightly staggered crossroads with Mill Street & Church Street, suggests that it could be listed in Trade Directories. Slaters 1859 covers Prees and the Post Office Directories published by Kelly should do likewise.
The next port of call would be the Census Returns. This would probably establish when the building was no longer viewed as one unit. It might also indicate (by its absence) use as non-residential commercial property e.g. offices.
Finally, a building of this size might have a name or appear on local maps.
With the exception of the last, most of the above searches could be carried out On-Line.
