Hi Yamin, lost the plot slightly there I actually meant the stove shop in Studley! To be honest our poor house has not been treated that well in the old section a concrete floor has been put over bare earth (still bare earth under the stairs) and all the walls in our living room have plastic caging stuff under thick dry lining gypsum plaster presumably because of damp on this old side the house is on sandstone plinth so as I have learnt on here this is really not good news. But we just don't have the funds to rip it all out and in the 80's previous owners had an extension put on although fairly sympathetically done prob only because we are in a conservation area. We've just redone kitchen, bathroom, stripped beams (Strippers of Sudbury stuff is excellent) etc wish I had known about breathable and linseed paints before too, I can recommend Period House Shop in Warwick and Cox's Architectural Salvage if you are looking for window furniture, hinges or that sort of thing. If only my premium bonds would come up!
