Thank God Wiggsy didnt find my Univerisity matriculation photograph from 1977. By that time I had a beard and an afro.

The building behind, the Grignon Hall, was rebuilt after a fire in 1930 - so spot on! The event even made the foreign newspapers:

Well that's rather complicated.

There were a small number of girls in the sixth form although I rarely came across them. They were in a separate house but nominally linked to each of the boys' houses for the pupose of annual photos and chapel seating arrangements.

The four in this pic were our quota and they would probably have known that they would have been wasting their time doing what Joce suggested!

I am sitting on the grass 14 in from the right wearing a green corderoy jacket under my gown and a blue paisley tie from Liberty which I still wear to the office occasionally. It now looks a bit raffishly wide, which I like.

Thanks Moo. So far I've had a swish new pair of earphones for my iPod and a book entitled "How not to get fat", which I am taking as a compliment as it implies I'm not in that state already. Home made fish pie and chocolate cake awaits, to be washed down with a bottle or two of something nice. Will celebrate further with the family in our forthcoming visit to Austria.
