You, shy? I find it hard to fathom, all this shyness. It's not as if anyone's going to say "I HATE that wallpaper, that hinge", and if they do, so what?
I can understand people being a bit reticent about their modernisation, but we are all very sensitive and aware about that issue I hope. I think for the most part we'd all agree that if there is minimal, or no, loss of historic fabric, what does it matter about a modern kitchen, an unobtrusive extension?
I get the feeling from some of my private correspondance from regular posters that they don't think it's appropriate to show off some of their work if it's not in the category of this- was-a-cement-room-and-now-it's-a-lime-room, and I think that's a real shame.
