I thought blaming the suppliers was a little rich. But it makes for telly.
Personally I'd blame the installers if they weren't bothering to find out how to do the job properly.
I gather then the whole floor wasn't the consistency of breadcrumbs, just that part?
The concrete lump - in fact once you walk past it and though to your wonderful historic enclave it hardly impinges does it?
I assume that the glass bit is now added? Or is that yet to come? It at least has some community use and benefit and as lumps go in town centres I've seen worse.

Good about the plastering then! It was looking terrific when I saw it, what a wonderful place to live when complete.
