Grade 2 listed triple glaze units

We are getting quotes for the double glaze units I just wish they would do triple glaze. I can see people in 10 years time having the same attitude towards double glazing as presently exists for single glaze .

Given the size of your windows, I doubt that the difference it makes will be noticed.

Also - check with the CO - even double may not be acceptable. It depends.

Me, I like single glazed. It lasts for centuries, without requiring replacement.

I have untreated timber boards - they aren't full of woodworm - or nasty chemicals either.

But either have plaster to the floor or have a gap if you have skirtings.

I still would have a central opening window, and the CO may insist. It's more usual than having fixed lights. And then you can have a wonderul hand forged catch, too.

As for chimneys - you need a through draught for ventilation really.
