When I first saw Georgians, I didn't appreciate them, but now adore them for their simplicity.

Hawksmoor died when George the First had been on his throne barely nine years. He is much more in the baroque tradition of Vanburgh and Wren - more Stuart than Hanoverian I would say.

Ok, so no more posts (or contacting a CO) till after you have scratched off some paint, counted the paint layers, got down to the wood and discovered whether it is mdf, or a close-grained old growth pine.

He's got to buy it first!
