Good link. They always flag up previous changes as being a reason to accept change. This doesn't hold water for me as very few people would have been able to read and write so the spoken word coudn't be spelled/spelt wrongly.


Nearly every form of communication for me is reading the written word, I want it to look right, unless it is done tongue in cheek for humour.

It also use to be the case with spoken English that people from one region couldn't understand those from another at times. Not sure that's altered though, hinny.
