Incidentally I’ve just noticed that this year marks my 10 years as a member of this parish, are there long service awards?
I’m happy to volunteer to organise some PPUK memorabilia for the attendees to mark this historic meet up - I was thinking of engraved tankards but happy to take other more interesting suggestions? Perhaps PPUK pointing trowels might be more appropriate
or a PPUK elephant?

Sad; I would have enjoyed that and much more so than any mullings over of lime plasters and breathable paints.Ah shame! I was looking forward to an in person discussion on timber framing!
I’ve always been coffee rather than tea, except when lime plastering a bedroom at 3am in which case it was pizza and prosecco
I only drink coffee in the UK at home or when out on business - the tea elsewhere is always appalling. That said, my favourite tipple, of the non-alcoholic variety you understand, is only to be found in Rome while on my meanderings to visit Baffettos for some of their pizza - just around the corner from Navona

I've got enough perishing elephants hiding around here thanks all the same - and I would probably be worried about the Bath pachyderm hoarder staging a heist! And if I never see another pointing trowel ever again I will be a happy bunny.Perhaps PPUK pointing trowels might be more appropriate

Builders Tea - Yorkshire Tea, brewed for at least 5 minutes, tiny bit of milk, no sugar. Strong enough to dissolve spoons. Heaven! None of your "Lapdog Shoesnog" stuff round here y'know, we're made of rufftier tufftier stuff

A surprise visitor here. He didn't stay long but it sure wasn't Cadfael. I was told however that he got a leading role in the Harry Potter movies - Hagrid was it?

Got his own tea plantation and a controlling interest in a Ginger Biscuits factory near Barnsley.
If my plans change and I do head to Bedfordshire I will, being a gentleman, bring my own bucket - none of those namby pamby delicate China things for this Staffycher lad ta much.
Ah, a suggestion for Twigs idea for commemorative paraphernalia - PPUK Tea Buckets. with a 'Dangerous When Empty' label?

I have just taken down a bat box and if anyone wants it I can bring it along.
A bit of background, when we had the roof replaced and windows put in our underpavement vaults we had to have a bat survey. There were no bats, or any evidence of ever in recent memory being bats. However the nice bat man thought wise to have 2 bat boxes on hand just in case one had arrived between survey and work. One bat box was put up on the outside of the house. One hung up outside the vaults, that's been there almost 3 years and it's only ever had a spider in it. Other things are going into the space so it needs to move along.
Picture attached, it's a National Trust one.

Ooo - yes please! We have never had bats roosting to my knowledge, but we regularly see them at dusk and think they roost in the bell tower of the church, about 100 yards away from Feltwell Towers. Could be good to see if we could encourage them to stop here.
