Yes Nem - Matt Green also posted that he thought it was unlikely - I wasn't there when the floor joists came out - I was hiding in my office sobbing gently over news of yet another delay - it came only 3 weeks after we had to rebuild part of north gable end wall due to presence of sandstone you could poke your finger through :shock:
Sandstone, when not under pressure, wants to be a beach again it seems!

I sure am learning a lot about how NOT to build a house.

Yes it was Matt's comment which prompted the question. He's pretty good at diagnosing rots in timber.

I live in a sandstone house, I have lived in other sandstone houses, and reversion to sand isn't common...

Testing quality of my pictures with this one of Sagrada Familia - it is such a mind blowing sight when you come up from the underground station.
