I think I may have some on my camera which need uploading - I visited in August, and what a charming place!

I gather that a great deal of fresh painting had been carried out in celebration of its anniversary. Seaside regeneration in action.

Silloth in Cumbria has had a similar makeover with paint in recent times - rather mixed public reactions to that!

Looks like a lot of plastic weather shield paint and emulsion has been used here rather than limewash. Doesn’t that go against your principles?

Of course, but what the paint is made of is another issue.

Are those blue stripes Holkham linseed oil paint?

That was quite fun. I used Holkham's white linseed oil paint and mixed in some blue pigment, in two strengths, that I bought from Mark Womersley
