here chicks and ducks and geese are actually scurryin', the sun is swimmin' on the rim of the hill, and all the surreys have fringes on top - so I can't imagine a world of looting and smoke.

Same here in Naarch, and glad to be back after a weekend in London where we saw Spacey's Richard III* and a Prom. Didn't actually see any rioting, but took a cab back from the Albert Hall on Monday just in case the Brixton riots spilled over into the trains. Lots of son's friends live in or near some of the scary spots, so it all got a bit tense.

Here in Bungay we had an open-air production of As You Like It, a month or so ago. It was performed at the castle by the Globe Theatre's touring company. Absolutely excellent (albeit bloomin' chilly!).
