The listing ladies are coming at 11am tomorrow!! Oh, there aren't enough hours in today to get it all properly ready. Getting the ingredients is probably higher priority than waxing, dont you think? I think I'll do pecan apple and date loaf and scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. Cross fingers for me that they find it worthy of listing.

There are only two of them, and they may be on a diet, so I'd just stick with scones and skip the pecan etc cake.

And don't wax the hall floor - you don't want them skidding off down the cellar steps.

:lol: That's very sweet of you Nigel. I clearly haven't told you about the time I made Chris a cup of tea, and there was a garden snail at the bottom when he'd finished it ( snails had crawled in the kettle), or the time I wanted to vacuum up a big spider dangling above my freshly baked ricotta and lentil moussaka, but I used one of those little insect vacuums, and it exploded, disgorging its contents over the dish ( mainly silverfish). I served it anyway, as I did on the occasion I dropped a roast chicken with all the trimmings on my ancient and never-washed flagstone floor. I could fill a book with such catastrophes, but sometimes it all goes very well, so let's hope tomorrow is lucky and I can keep the lemon millefleur sabelpoots from flying in and devouring the scones.

I don't know about Mrs P's bikinis, but mine ( and I expect Joce's too ) don't require anything as substantial as a rope to hang from. To return to the substance of the question though, I would suggest that you enquire ( discreetly ) of Mr Google!

I wonder if her jovial nature is linked to the fact that her beach gear avoids the need for waxing? I can think of a few hairless and permatanned celebs who might learn a thing or two from the esteemed Mrs P!

No indication was given. As it took 10 months between receiving the application and today's appointment I'm not holding my breath!

Love the cartoon Nigel - but here chicks and ducks and geese are actually scurryin', the sun is swimmin' on the rim of the hill, and all the surreys have fringes on top - so I can't imagine a world of looting and smoke.

You can't blame the seagull Penners.

He had a rotten upbringing with a father who flew the nest when he was young. Sadly, no one organised seagull football clubs or youth clubs in his community. He quickly turned to a life of robbery. It started with the occasional overflowing bin, but soon he was stealing chips from innocent holidaymakers in broad daylight.

It's a tragedy. He just doesn't have a steak in society. Just out of sight of the camera are a group of hooded gulls, egging him on.
