I'm all for find the cause, but has anyone used the product, has it worked? Did it not work? I'd love to know if other people have used the product for damp.
you haven't used them, so you can you really comment on them being snake oil. NO.No. Absolute snake oil.
I haven’t intentionally stabbed myself either, but I know it wouldn’t be a great plan.you haven't used them, so you can you really comment on them being snake oil. NO.
BRE have only accepted 2 types of retro DPC. A physical one, by removing small amounts of masonry at a time, and a chemical one, which originally went into the bricks, and was said to only slow down the rate of rising damp. What I find disappointing is this sort of debate even exists in these modern, scientific times. Where is the verified research into such things? What's the BRE position on such things? Surely there must be definitive evidence out there somewhere?
Ahh on the outside it is, we removed the cement border recently. Lime is still going to be on the inside, when we get the work completed. Is that a lime render then, that you have currently, @pipthecats? It looks rather like a pebble dash cement render.
