Old basement with very high humidity caused pipes to corrode heavily.
Do I need to replace the pipes, or just clean them? I don't know about the age of them.
Also wondering about the electrical.
Thanks for input!
The copper pipes will probably be fine. The verdigris on the surface protects the rest of it to a certain extent, at least that's what I was told. For that reason don't clean them. You could have them pressure tested if worried, but they might let go somewhere much less convenient that the basement. I wouldn't hold out much hope for the gate valves operating however...
PVC electrical cables are generally ok with a bit of damp so long as they aren't constantly wet but can't tell if that is what you have there. Are those conduits with singles inside? You could have an insulation resistance test done if worried. Also make sure the junction box has a drain at the bottom so that it doesn't fill up with water.
The pipes with the green deposits are copper. The pipe before the water meter could be lead so you should get that changed if it is.
The junction box is the white box with the loose fitting You could try carefully taking the lid off of it to see how it looks inside but if you're not familiar with electricity then better to leave it to an electrician to inspect.
