I think you may find that there are at least several communities "more urban" than that.

Take, for example, Shanghai. The current population is about 26 million.

That was the goo news, the bad news is one of our newly arrived kittens who adopted us is very poorly and spent last night at the vets. They think she may have picked up something poisoned but may recover because she was violently sick and the poison would have killed her by now if she hadn't been so sick. Fingers crossed for her.

She's the one on the right called Smudge because of the small mark on her mouth and the other one is called Sooty because...answers please :lol:





Oh dear. Our eldest cat, about two years or so old was lethargic this morning now he's been very sick Looks like he's of to the vet as well

Thanks for your kind wishes. The news from the vets is that the Smudge thekitten is eating everything put in front of her and we think we can get collect her tomorrow.
The other cat who was sick this morning,Tipsy, is much better and has had some kitten milk and rice pudding from Mrs DJH ( :roll: )

The kitty sounds like a familiar case of the £400 Chicken Night. This is when your kitty refuses to eat and is horribly sick, and you take them to the vet, and they stay in overnight, tuck in heartily to a piece of chicken, and you must pay £400, and are told the next day puss was "under the weather but is all fixed". Let's hope Ireland is a bit cheaper. Anyway they're all worth it!

It probably should have been, but I thought that might be too much for you to tolerate. I couldn't risk an apoplectic seizure re injuring your bad back. You haven't mentioned that for a while, just your usual stoicism I assume? I know you usually suffer in silence and really don't like to talk about it.

Very glad to hear that the feline friends seem to be recovering, and lovely pictures too. Do you have any idea what they might have eaten that caused the problem? I thought cats were usually quite discerning, better than dogs that like to eat first and ask questions later.

An excellent analysis there, Milady. I suffer courageously in silence. Mind you, the very nice physiotherapist at the Pain Clinic has been giving me some relief.

Can we please have a rousing chorus of "Oooooh - Matron!"?

I obviously don't like to talk about it but I'm currently bedbound with a torn back muscle myself so I feel your pain (literally) Penners. On the plus side its the perfect excuse for yet another year of not finishing the room I promised Mrs J would be done by Christmas the year before last!
