I think you are alike in many ways LadyA. He even likes to sing Pavarotti's "Elephants Yeah" ( do you know that song?) and has made sure I've been taken to see elephants all over the world.

I shouldn't be mean about him as he's very loveable and it's only really me who gets to see the scary aligned objects.

The thing to do in those circumstances is to stand in the middle of the room, and say out loud "House Pixies, Please can I have my [item required] back", and then spend an hour or so doing something else. When you go back, the required item will be where you last saw it. Never fails.

I think I have just found a long lost twin brother. I like to put the noodle bowls and cups and saucers so that the pattern is at the front, and arrange the hangers I use to dry the shirts according to the rainbow, not quite to the stage of alphabetising the cans of soup in the cupboard.

The MD of one company I worked at used to walk round the office in the evening making sure all the desk screens were perfectly aligned, and making sure that any pens left on desks were all perfectly parallel to each other & the edge of the desk. His own office was a complete tip though.

Mind you, these were some of his more sane and rational habits. He once stood talking to a member of my team whilst eating a sandwich, which he had scrounged off someone in the office. He was eating it like a child would - eating the middle and leaving the crust, which eventually he threw in the bin. At the end of the conversation a few minutes later he decided he was still hungry, so calmly bent down to the bin, scooped out the crust and walked off down the office eating it.

Why would we be worried? His pixies seem extremely nice, they can't help their little mishcievious ways getting the better of them now and again. I have gnomes in the kitchen but they don't hide things, although I suspect they play tag with the lizard that lives under the fridge.

And everyone knows lizards don't live under the fridge. They prefer the dishwasher, as they're scared of the elephants inside the fridge.

I'm sure mine live under the fridge, they don't do well in the dishwasher ( sadly I know this for a fact ). There aren't any elephants in the fridge, unless you count the ones on the Chang beer cans. Plenty of elephants on the shelves over it though :lol:

My other half loves this, it can cut things that are attached to other things! Like skirting and coving that needs altering for example or fitting a loft hatch. We got the corded one for obvious reasons and we also couldn't think of any time it would be needed away from power.

I agree that impact drivers are amazing, unfortunately we still don't have one at home so I think that's on his list!
